Nor would they picture the actor, whose portrayal of quick-witted Josh Lyman on NBC's The West Wing earned him an Emmy, screaming pathetically in a corner in the throes of a fiancée-induced panic attack. But now that Whitford is back on Broadway in a 1960s sex farce, audiences will see a side of the seasoned actor miles away from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
